The organ workshop in the village of Yuvalim invites you to a fascinating encounter with a 200 year tradition. The tour will tell the story of the Jewish organs of the synagogues, their evolution over the years and their connection to Reform Judaism.
We will start the visit with hot drinks and light refreshments. We will continue with a tour of the visitor’s center where you can enjoy the organs in the center. On the walls of the center hang a variety of organs and there is a picture exhibition of organs built by the organ workshop founder, Gideon Shamir, the only organ builder in Israel.
Later we will gather for a personal meeting with the workshop’s owner today, Uri Shani.
Uri will share with us the stories of the Jewish organ.
We will end with a demonstration concert on the organ.
