The director of the organ workshop in the village Yuvalim, Uri Shani, invites you to a unique tour, telling the story of the organ as it is presented in the cinema in the last hundred years. You will learn about its role in the movies and its meaning accompanied by excerpts from the movies.
We will start the visit with with hot drinks and light refreshments. We will continue with a tour of the visitor’s center. The tour of the visitor center will take you through a variety of organs in the center, a photo exhibition of organs built by the Organ workshop founder- Gideon Shamir over the years. Gideon Shamir was and remains the only organ builder in Israel.
Later we will gather for a talk with today’s organ workshop owner- Uri Shani,
We will hear about organs and movies and end with a demonstration concert on the organ.
The visit is suitable for groups of 20-60 participants.
The length of the tour – 1.5 hours.
The visit is possible in several languages - Hebrew, Arabic, English, German and French
Uri came from the field of theater where he worked as a director, teacher, lecturer, actor and musical editor. He also worked in theater setting.
