The passion for food and the smells of the kitchen always attracted Samir Asadi, so much so that he left the photography empire and built a new empire for himself. With a deep breath and planning for a year, the Turkiz restaurant was established together with his wife, Nahala. One can find in the kitchen of Turkiz salads, dishes, and special and fine desserts with a taste of home and love. On a daily basis, you can indulge in Turkiz with traditional Mediterranean food that Samir’s wife, Nahala, prepares with the taste of home. You will find dishes such as stuffed, vine leaves, maqluba, and other dishes according to what can be found in the market that day and of course with a pampering solution for the vegetarians and vegans among us.

When Samir Asdi was a photographer, he used to invite his friends to his studio and cook for them. The cold winter days were warm and cozy in Samir’s studio with his wonderful meals. So he took his love of cooking and made it a career.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
