The Turkiz Cafe is an island of beauty and taste in Old Akko.
You can choose whether to sit in the beautiful alley and feel the city continue to pulse around you or enter the cozy restaurant and enjoy a luxurious breakfast, Samir’s shakshuka or manakish (pita with za’atar, cheese, and onion). You can also stop for a short break for a fine Akko coffee alongside unforgettable and unique knafe and malabi. Samir Asdi will serve you everything with a big smile and attention to every detail. The dishes and coffee will be served to you on plates from Samir’s private collection. A collection that he cherishes and loves especially.
When Samir Asdi was a photographer, he used to invite his friends to his studio and cook for them. The cold winter days were warm and cozy in Samir’s studio with his wonderful meals. So he took his love of cooking and made it a career.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
