The tour is led by Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg. Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg studied archeology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. For the past 30 years she has been working in Conservation and Cultural Heritage. She is a former Director of the International Conservation Center (training center for practical conservation) at the Israel Antiquities Authority. Shelley is Currently an independent specialist in conservation procedures of the cultural built heritage – archeological sites and historical cities.
When Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg came to Israel as a little girl in 1974, her parents took her on a tour to Metzada. It was there she first heard of Archaeology and Yigal Yadin and declared there and then that she wants to follow in his footsteps.
