Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg offers internships, professional development, and enrichment training for tour guides, which are a professional experience that goes far beyond “regular” learning. The content combines ancient sites, historic cities, villages in the Galilee, and lesser-known corners, with an emphasis on stories that do not always fit into the classic route.
The training courses take place in the field ― throughout the Galilee, the Carmel, Ramot Menashe, and the coastal strip ― and allow for a deep, experiential, and precise acquaintance with the places themselves.
During the meetings, behind-the-scenes aspects of the work are also revealed: different interpretations, professional dilemmas, and perspectives born from field experience and acquaintance with professionals.
Each training course is an opportunity to enrich the training toolbox, discover new stories, and emerge with inspiration and ideas that are not always encountered in familiar routes.
Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg is a lecturer, guide, and researcher of the history of archaeology and the Land of Israel, who has dedicated over 25 years of work to the Israel Antiquities Authority.
