Architectural tours of special private homes in Akko and the Galilee ― historical buildings, religious buildings, and special public institutions.
We will discover the hidden gems, meet the people who live in them, meet architects and planners, the staff, and the people who work in them.
This is a great opportunity to enter unfamiliar spaces, stay up-to-date on new projects, and learn the stories behind doors.
The tour is led by Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg, who studied archaeology at the Hebrew University and has been involved in the preservation of historical buildings and cultural heritage for about 30 years. During her advanced studies at the University of Haifa, Shelley worked in senior management positions at the Israel Antiquities Authority and was involved in research and activities of leading Israeli and international organizations.
When Dr. Shelley Anne Peleg came to Israel as a little girl in 1974, her parents took her on a tour to Mesada. It was there she first heard of Archaeology and Yigael Yadin. She declared there and then that she wants to follow in his footsteps.
