You are invited to take a glimpse into the magical world of ancient handicrafts. An open artisan workshop for free creation with leather, with professional guidance from leather artist Eldad Bahar, in a pleasant atmosphere in the air-conditioned studio at Kibbutz Afek. Together we will create amazing and unique leather products according to your personal wishes. Choose between designed bags, belts, wallets, flip-flops, cases, and sheaths for every purpose.
We will work with various techniques that combine professional and traditional handcraft tools alongside modern and efficient machines.
We will choose the most suitable material for the creation, prepare cutouts, learn to cut, pierce, glue, sew, emboss, paint, and of course we will invest time in the finishing touches.
*The workshop takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday during the month of May, by appointment.

Eldad learned the craft of leatherworking during his travels around the world. He has been passing on his knowledge and love of leather art for many years in a magical workshop, where you can experience leather crafting using traditional and modern techniques, even without any prior experience.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
