Private workshops at the Omanya Studio in Kibbutz Afek offer a one-of-a-kind experience of creating with leather, in a small group, and in a personal and pleasant atmosphere. The workshops are very suitable for individuals who want to learn the craft or promote a design project, develop a product for the business world, or just enjoy a few hours of personal experience making a leather product with a personal design one-on-one with Eldad. Couples are invited to come to a joint workshop as part of a wedding anniversary, birthday, or trip to the area.
Family groups of up to 6 participants can enjoy this professional workshop and create a personal and useful item, which will be kept for a lifetime.
Eldad learned the craft of leatherworking during his travels around the world. He has been passing on his knowledge and love of leather art for many years in a magical workshop, where you can experience leather crafting using traditional and modern techniques, even without any prior experience.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
