Blacksmith Walied Khoury invites you to a meeting that includes his two loves ― iron work and fine cuisine. Visit Walied’s impressive workshop in the beautiful Christian village of Fassuta to enjoy a demonstration and discourse, a visit to the gallery and a rich meat meal on the balcony against a breathtaking Galilean landscape.
Artist Demonstration & Discourse ― The demonstration of live sculpture, under which the artist shows how iron stripe turns into a traditional method by heating on stone coal. During the demonstration, the participants are exposed to Walied’s story, the sculpture, and how it is specialized in this unique field.
Visit the Gallery ― in the Walied Gallery, featuring a variety of sculptures and furniture he created from iron, you will hear about the works, the competitions in which he participated around the world and the establishment of the gallery.
Rich Lunch ― On the balcony overlooking spectacular Galilean landscapes you will enjoy fresh Galilean air and a luxurious feast that includes selected chunks of meat: entrecote, asado, picnia and selected foods that cook long cooking in a traditional taboon. The meal also includes the addition of potatoes from the taboon, salad rice, red wine, coffee and dessert.

Walied Khoury began working with iron at the age of 40. Since then he has participated in contests and won prizes in Israel and abroad.

We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
