Walied Khoury is a native of the beautiful Christian village of Fassuta.
After completing a short course in iron work, he began to engage in iron sculpture and after a short period of time won first prize in an iron sculpture competition held in England. Since then, Walied has won several awards in England and Italy, where they are displayed in museums.
Walied works in a small blacksmith shop under his house, where you will find tools, pieces of metal, and black coffee constantly brewing.
You can visit Walied at the blacksmith shop, hear his story, see a variety of works and be impressed by the furniture he builds and watch a demonstration of his blacksmith skills.
Walied, born in Fassuta, only began sculpting and forging iron at the age of 40. Since then, he has won competitions in Israel and around the world, and his love for iron can be seen in the sculptures he creates, each of which has its own story.
