Shula Giladi loves to host groups and have them savor her delicious dishes. Shula serves delicacies in her home and in her green garden; the most well-known being kubbeh with okra. Along with the kubbeh, she serves shifate (meat patties), yafrech (stuffed grape leaves and onion), potato pancakes, oven-baked chicken, cooked and fresh salads, and side dishes including special rice, green beans, and homemade pickles.
At the end of the meal, tea, pastries, and jam are served, and Shula is happy to recount her fascinating personal story, which she tells with a lot of humor and concludes with a song.
This encounter is aimed at groups of ten and above, though Shula suggests that even if you are a smaller group give her a call, she may be available.
Shula Giladi’s hospitality experience includes authentic Kurdish food with a heavenly flavor and fascinating stories that only Shula knows how to tell from her fascinating childhood home.
