We will start the day with an indulgent and popular gluten-free breakfast at the Tupelo Bakery & Cafe in Tarshiha.
A gluten-free and wheat-free cafe and bakery in Tarshiha. The place belongs to a couple in life and business, Verad Baer and Murad Bishara. A large selection of gluten-free pastries and a small and flowery cafe in a colorful alley in beautiful Tarshiha.
When your stomach is full, you can go for a walk on the winding and spectacular Norman Trail.
Norman’s Trail is adjacent to Kfar Vradim. It winds through small hilly groves and is very straightforward: no waterfalls, no ponds nor magnificent ravine. Just a hill, trees and rocks, yet the site is very special – as if the rocks were waiting for someone to discover their uniqueness all these years. And so, a talented artistic man, made this trail into a fascinating creation: Norman, Kfar Vradim resident, is that man. The bear cave, Tree of Nostalgia and more are just some of the surprises, made by Norman, that are waiting for visitors. The trail is approx. 1 km long.
After the walk, head to the Druze village of Jat. It is recommended to coordinate in advance with Nohad Bisan, and you can choose between a cooking or baking workshop, a foraging trip in the appropriate season, or simply a wholehearted home hospitality experience.
Nohad Bisan from Sweet Moments is a cook and pastry chef. Nohad hosts in the courtyard of her house, in the picturesque Druze village of Jat, unique baking workshops and tastings of spectacularly beautiful and delicious handmade desserts. Among the workshops Nohad conducts at her home include making traditional cookies including baking on the Tava. Between December and April, Nohad holds experiential baking and foraging workshops in the field, which combine foraging and preparation of traditional foods such as fatayer stuffed with spinach and za’atar with white wine combined with spices from the Druze cuisine.
The business Nohad dreamed of all her life is a combination of her three great loves — cooking, baking, and hospitality. She fulfilled her dream about 7 years ago, and the name was chosen by one of her four daughters.
