We will go north on road 70. A little after the village of Sheikh Danun, we turn left to the Yehi’am Memorial parking lot. On the site, you can hear the story and get an impression of the special monument.

Located south of the Cabri Junction and east of Moshav Netiv HaShayara. The site commemorates the fallen of the Yehiam convoy and other fighters who fell in the breakthrough to Yehiam. In total, 70 fallen soldiers are commemorated at the site. The Yehiam convoy was a supply convoy of the Carmeli Brigade in the War of Independence that set out in 1948 from Nahariya to Kibbutz Yehiam. The convoy was ambushed and attacked by gangs. In the attack on the convoy, 46 fighters were killed.
In the 1960s, the Ga’aton Regional Council decided to build a reconstruction of the battle at the site where the convoy fell. The work was assigned to the sculptor Yechiel Shemi, a member of nearby Kibbutz Cabri. Shemi came to visit the area accompanied by architect Yechiel Arad, whose brother Moshe Plotzer fell in the convoy.
Arad planned the site around the old road – “Khishef HaBakshish”, right where the convoy fell. At the foot of the wall is a relief map of the battle and to the right of the wall is a section depicting the battle. On the sides of the road are scraps of armored vehicles. The site also includes an audio information stand in Hebrew and English, explanatory signs about the area in the period before and during the War of Independence, picnic tables and shaded seating areas among the trees.
After the visit to the Yehi’am Park, we will return to Route 70 and drive north to Ein Hardalit

Ein Hardalit is one of the springs that feed the Kziv River. Much of the spring water is pumped to provide drinking water for the area’s residents, but some is returned to the river’s channel, thus preserving its natural habitat. The area where the clear water flows has become a true paradise for hikers. It has giant plane trees that provide ample shade, fig trees that bear fruit, impressive cliffs that tower above, and several wonderful and peaceful wading pools. The recommended and deepest pool is located at the point where the water bursts out of the pipe that returns it to nature, and it is worth going far and reaching it.
Location: Ein Hardalit Reserve/Ein Hardalit Parking Lot
Note: It is important to check with the Nature Reserve Authority whether the place is open to visitors before arriving
After visiting nature and wading in the clear waters of Ein Hardalit, we highly recommend the Adelina restaurant located in Kibbutz Cabri

In the building that was the first “cultural house” of Kibbutz Cabri, there is the Adelina restaurant, with a warm and cozy rustic-European design and a large patio-terrace facing a sea of banana plantations that seem to float in space. Chef Roshdi Dakwar and his skilled team serve a successful menu that combines the flavors and ingredients of the Galilee with Spanish-Catalan cuisine.
After we have strengthened ourselves with a delicious meal, we will continue the trip to the Rosh Hanikra site

Rosh HaNikra Nature Reserve is a unique nature reserve located at the northern end of Israel’s Mediterranean coast and is equipped with a steep cliff that descends into the Mediterranean Sea and its rugged coastline. The caves are distinguished by their unique beauty, changing colors at different times of the day and with the change of seasons. The caves appear at their best at sunset and during a storm. The length of the natural cave path is about 200 meters.
It is impossible to end such a magical day without drinking coffee and tasting the wonderful pastries at the Tosha Bakery, a café bakery located 5 minutes away by car.

Shahaf Avraham and Tomer Swisa are friends from the north who worked together. After many years of understanding and experience, the two decided to fulfill their shared dream and opened Tosha. Tomer, who studied with Hans and Galit Bartela, with Estella and also interned in France; creates cakes and pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious. The place is decorated in a pleasantly eclectic way, including a bar made up of bicycles that the two dismantled and rebuilt. It is located opposite the Achziv beach.
