The day will be accompanied by a tour guide from the Galilee who will add stories and explanations along the way in the villages and kibbutzim included in the trip.

10 am – 10:30 am Drive to Kibbutz Yehi’am
10:30 am – 12 pm Workshop meeting with Dalit Ben Shalom
Dalit is a mosaic and sculpture artist in her beautiful studio at the foot of the Yehi’am Fortress. Hear her personal story and the path she took to become a mosaic artist, doing projects throughout the Galilee. All participants will create a mosaic souvenir.
12 pm – 1 pm A trip to the Yehi’am Fortress
Explore the remains of a huge and impressive fortress from the Crusader and Ottoman era. Stories of heroism with a breathtaking view from the mountains to the Mediterranean Sea.
1 pm – 1:30 pm Drive to the Hadaral’e restaurant in Lake Montfort
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Dine at the Hadaral’e Restaurant
In the old and beautiful restaurant, a delightful meat meal will be served – by the young and talented couple Sivan & Hadar Amsalem.

Enjoy a meeting with the wonderful Salma Assaf of Chateau du Roi. The tour guide will lead the group through the alleys, introduce them to locals, and finally, meet Salma the woman and legend who took the family home next to the church and the Crusader fortress and slowly turned it into a restaurant with authentic guest rooms, together with her whole family. The meeting includes a look at the antiquities found in the basement.

We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
