Honey Cake — Ofir Farm
A recipe that has been passed down through generations in our family — Grandma Zahra, Zvika’s mother, taught Hadas (Zvika’s wife) the recipe.
For us, this is the regular cake on the weekends. The children and grandchildren are crazy about it too.
Simple to make and extremely delicious!
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- A glass of honey
- Cup of sugar
- 0/5 cup oil
- 0/5 cup of boiling water
- 2 cups flour
- Bag of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- A bit of Clove powder
- for decoration – nuts and raisins
Preparation Method:
Mix in the mixer: eggs, a glass of honey, sugar, and oil.
In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, cocoa, and cloves.
Add to the ingredients in the mixer, mix and slowly add the boiling water. Transfer to two elongated English cake molds.
Add to nuts and raisins and put in preheated oven at medium heat until toothpick comes out almost dry.
