There are recipes that are much more than food ― they are family history. At Beit Elfarasha, nestled inside a renovated Ottoman gem in the old city of Akko, Khadija Abd Elani opens the door to her culinary heritage.
Roll up your sleeves and cook by her side in our modern, well-equipped kitchen, while she explains about the preparation of the dishes and shares the stories and secrets that have filled her family’s table for generations. When the workshop is over, not only will you leave satisfied and return home with new cooking skills ― you will also leave with a new friend in Akko.

First, to empower local women in Akko, most of whom are housewives.
Second, the cooking workshops conducted by local women are an opportunity to get to know more closely the daily life and lifestyle and customs of the locals in Old Akko.
