Three decades since it was first performed, Rami Baer’s iconic work returns to the stage. “Aide-Mémoire”, one of the masterpieces of Israeli dance, echoes the collective and personal trauma that the Holocaust left in social and individual life. Be’er, one of Israel’s leading artists and a member of the second generation of Holocaust survivors, moves between associative flashes, deconstructing and reassembling the intergenerational memory that is burned into the skin and etched into the body.
