In Hasi Naveh’s works, nature is not only a source of inspiration ― but an active partner in the creative process.
Through botanical prints, natural dyes, and fibers that bear traces of time, she creates a living material archive of the environment in which she lives and works.
Hasi’s immediate environment is her warehouse of raw materials. The plants are collected from the garden and the immediate living environment, undergo dyeing and stamping processes, and leave on the canvas the imprint of a season, a chapter in life. Each panel reflects the changing cycles of nature. An inspiration table with examples of work processes will be displayed alongside the works.
Viewers are invited to peek into the ongoing relationship between the studio, garden, and local landscape.
Hasi will talk about her work, the female circles that form around the craft of botanical printing, and the way in which the work is not only influenced by the environment ― but also changes and reshapes it.
About the Creator & Studio:
Hasi is an artist and quilter from Bustan HaGalil. In recent years, the Hasi Fiber Studio has become a national center of textile art ― a home for ancient crafts of traditional and modern patchwork, embroidery, dyeing, and weaving.
A unique place that preserves, researches and revives the field, holds classes and workshops, and hosts expert artists from all over the country. Enjoy unique workshops that “rescue” for all of us the special types of crafts, the knowledge, and skills that have been passed down from mother to daughter, generation to generation.

The studio of Hasi, an artist and quilt maker from Bustan Galilee, is full of colorful fabrics and sewing materials, and is open to guests and students for embroidery and quilting workshops.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
