A special creative meeting connecting photography, textiles, and a personal story ― led by the embroidery artist Sarah Avnin Ganisher.
In the workshop, we will dive into the world of contemporary embroidery and get to know unique techniques of embroidery on top of photography. Through thread, color, and texture we will turn photos into personal works full of depth, emotion, and imagination.
The workshop is also suitable for those who have no previous experience, and invites each and every participant to stop for a moment, create with their hands, and connect to a delicate and meaningful artistic language.
The workshop is held as part of the exhibition “A Time to Be Woven” currently on display at the Monio Gallery ― an exhibition that deals with embroidery as a contemporary, personal and social art.
The exhibition presents the works of embroidering artists under the guidance of Sarah Avnin Ganisher, offering a new perspective on the world of embroidery: between tradition and creative freedom, between handicraft and deep artistic expression.
During the workshop, the Thomas Cafe Caravan will be open with a rich and indulgent menu between the hours of 10 am to 2 pm.
