Manar Kurdi, a local cook, invites you to put on an apron and discover the soulful simplicity of traditional Arab cooking. As you chop, stir, and taste, Mimi will share with you stories from her life in Akko – the flavors, memories, and traditions that shaped her. Our initiative is based on two main ideas:
First, to empower local women in Akko, most of whom are housewives.
Second, the cooking workshops conducted by local women are an opportunity to get to know more closely the daily life and lifestyle and customs of the locals in Old Akko.
