Walking the New Beit HaKerem Trail to the Nahal Abelim Canyon and the hidden springs of the stream.
The Beit HaKerem Trail is the new hiking trail of the central Galilee, initiated and led by Eitan Omer ― the tourism director at Eshkol and tour guide. The trail connects the mountain landscapes, villages, springs, and forests of the Beit HaKerem Valley, and offers a deep introduction to the less known and beautiful Galilee.
On this tour, we will walk on one of the coolest and most special sections of the trail ― the Nahal Evlayim.
We will start the route in the small Bedouin village, and from there we will descend to the winding, dark, and shady gorge of Nahal Evlayim. Along the walk, we will move within the dense Galilee forest, between the winding streams and the forest trees, in a cool and surprising atmosphere even in the middle of summer.
Later we will reach Ayanot Abelim – a group of small, hidden springs hidden among the stream trees ― and from there we will continue on a comfortable walk to the outskirts of the village.
We will end the tour at the Galilee Cycling Parking Lot, meeting Tamer, the charming owner of the place, who will welcome us with seasonal fruits, cold watermelon, and a cool drink for a perfect end to a summer in the heart of the Galilee.
