We will start, or end the trip (your choice!), with a visit to Safta Maha’s. If it’s a starting point – her fabulous breakfasts are highly recommended and if it’s an ending point – the lunches are also a delightful experience!
Come learn how to prepare the delicacies of Druze cuisine and enjoy a home-style Druze meal.
Maha Amer will teach you how to prepare dishes such as maqluba, mujaddara, shulbato, homemade hummus, tabbouleh salad and more!
You can combine the workshop with a light or full meal on the terrace.
The workshop lasts between two to four hours.
For groups of 6 people or more.
And now we are ready for a light, mysterious, blooming, and fascinating nature trip – Pa’ar Cave Reserve.
Pa’ar Cave Reserve is in the heart of the Sasa Valley. The reserve is a beautiful and natural forest of oak trees, there are walking paths and they all lead to the Pa’ar Cave, which is, in fact, a sinkhole that drains the rainwater that comes down into the valley.
There are many fascinating legends about the sinkhole and you are invited to go down to the cave (don’t forget flashlights) and discover its secrets…
In the reserve itself, there are amazing blossoms, and in the winter season, you can find yellow crocus, beautiful and delicate fall flowers of various kinds, and the amazing roundleaf cancerwort!
Waze: Pa’ar Cave Reserve
On rainy days it is not recommended to enter the cave!
The Pa’ar Cave Reserve is 5 minutes from Kibbutz Sasa – the kibbutz where the absolute best ice cream in Israel awaits you (yes, yes, even in the winter!) and an Israeli sculptor with an amazing gallery and a fascinating story.
The name Buza means ice cream in Arabic, a delicious ice cream that everyone loves. Buza’s roots are planted deep in the Galilee – with love for the raw materials, flavors, smells – this is the foundation of our ice cream, which is made daily from the best and freshest raw ingredients. Buza was born as an Arab-Jewish collaboration – between Adam from Kibbutz Sasa and Alaa from Tarshiha.
Last, but not least – Varda Yatom, an amazing international sculptor.
Varda Yatom’s Studio is a center for diverse art and sculpture activities in Kibbutz Sasa of the Western Galilee. Varda Yatom is an internationally renowned sculptor who was recognized by an international committee as one of the top ten ceramic sculptors in the world.
Come meet a fascinating creator and explore her spectacular sculpture gallery.
