A morning trip for the whole family in the Yodfat area. We’ll start it with at the Yodfat Cafe in front of the amazing view and get into the atmosphere!
Yodfat Cafe, found in the green Misgav Regional Council, was established out of love of people, nature, food and culture.
This wonderful combination is reflected in the café on all levels – the beautifully designed and aesthetic complex, the delicious and special food made from local, Galilean ingredients: olive oil from Yodfat, local sourdough bread, Malka beer and Dalton wine, in the cozy hospitality of the terrace facing the landscape of Mount HaSha’avi, at live shows and events.
After coffee and an excellent breakfast, we will continue to Boacha Yodfat!
Boacha Yodfat is a pastoral Galilean entertainment and shopping complex, which includes 12 boutique stores and is located among beautiful oak trees. The complex overlooks a breathtaking view of Yodfat and is open seven days a week and on holidays.
There you can find a variety of fashion and lifestyle design stores, a gallery, workshops, a delicatessen, a cafe, and a bakery.
Now on to the Monkey Forest!
The monkey forest began as a living area for Yodafat children in the 70s. Then the ancestors of our squirrel monkeys were brought over from a habitat in Belgium and the forest was named after them. Even then, our approach was that keeping monkeys in cages is wrong, so they were given a large piece of forest to live in a territory that became theirs.
In 1990, the monkey forest became an animal shelter, educational and touristic. Since then, the basis of the relationship with the animals and the flora of the forest is one of respect and love. The approach is that animals feel, sense, are important to our world, and deserve to live (when they are not in the wild) as close as possible to natural conditions. Well, we invite you, lovers of nature and animals, to come, walk leisurely along the paths of the forest, and meet the animals that live in it, without harming the trust created with the animals, their safety, and the vegetation.
But wait… what animals can you see in the park?
Squirrel monkeys, crayfish macaques, green baboons, lemurs, capuchins, donkeys, ponies, goats, sheep, parrots, waterfowl, African ostrich, Australian emu, ferret, moose, deer, water deer, falcons, hornbills and other animals that you can discover during your visit with us.
We really hope to see you soon!

After the visit to the monkey forest, we drive about 5 minutes to Tel Yodfat
The route is suitable for families with children. This is the mound where the ancient city of Yodfat was located, there are cisterns, wells, an ancient cloth house and other remains. The route leaves the entrance area marked with black paths, after about 450 meters turn left to a short path that leads to the ancient cloth house.
Follow it until you reach the blue trails, turn right and go up the mound to a great view that burns into the mountains and return with the blue trail to the starting point.
In the autumn season – the area is filled with minerals.
