Come into the Traditional Artisanal Sweets shop of the Kashash sweets – Here you can choose between 22 different kinds of baklava and three kinds of knafeh, freshly prepared each day with a lavish sprinkling of pistachios, walnuts, peanuts and rosewater.
There is a great variety of baklava with pistachios, almonds, cashews and even chocolate and you can also choose from three different kinds of knafeh, potato knafeh from Nablus, red or natural.
Kashash Sweets is a business established over 100 years ago in 1915, by Heir Kashash, who began creating traditional sweets from peanuts and sesame seeds, and selling them from his cart. Later he opened a production facility in the Old City of Akko, where he also began making such delicacies as knafeh and honey-soaked baklava. Today there are four generations of Kashash family member working together in the business.
The most important thing for the Kashash family is to see the smile on their customer’s face, and that kind of love is discernible in every bite.
