Tour Guide Amnon Gofer invites you on a trip that combines landscapes, folklore stories, poetics, and geopolitics among the people, landscapes, and alleys of the village of Tarshiha.
We will ascend to the Sheikh’s Tomb for a unique view of the Galilee landscapes and a short story about great sheikhs. We will continue to the houses of the wealthy nobility and try to understand the Ottoman influences and the Arab social structure on the rural street, the architecture, and its residents.
In the Bedouin neighborhood we will visit Khushi’s garden and among the fountains we will be surprised by the figure of a statesman and military man who adorns the garden with his vision.
We will wander through the steep alleys of the village to the churches, the mosque, and the blacksmith’s market, and along the way we will hear the songs of the poet Arabia and try to understand why the Arabs of Tarshiha speak Romanian.
Finally ― Mount Agar ― a small touch of nature on a short hike to a British water basin and the story of the Arab revolt in the Galilee.
The trip is by appointment only.
