The first point of the route is the Ein Afek Nature Reserve. On the northern side of Kiryat Motzkin, on Route 4 (Haifa-Acre), there is the Ein Afek junction, at this junction turn east to road 7911 (towards Shfaram), and after about 2 km you see signs and turn towards the Ein Afek nature reserve.

The Ein Afek Nature Reserve in the Galilean coastal plain, preserves swampland and waterway sources, the majority of which have been lost in Israel. It is home to water plants that enjoy welling springs all year round and many animals, including the African softshell turtles and buffalos that were reintroduced to the area as part of nature preservation activities. The reserve has a flour mill, pathways to ponds and swampland, animals and Tel Afek.
After visiting Ein Afek, return to Highway 79 until you reach the left turn to Kibbutz Afek to the Omanya Studio. Omanya is a leather crafting studio founded by artist Eldad Bahar, and you can coordinate a crafting workshop for the whole family with him.

Finally, head north to Kibbutz Shomrat to visit the Alto Dairy. There you can also sit in the café and enjoy the local flavors and buy some of the wonderful cheeses in the delicatessen.
