Alto Dairy

Alto Dairy at Kibbutz Shomrat is a cheese-making love story, spanning back three generations. On the spot, the cheeses are made from fine Galilian goat’s milk using traditional methods.
The entrance to the dairy is through a path that passes through an orchard of fruit trees and a lawn with plenty of outdoor seating, alongside sitting in the cafe or on a covered balcony overlooking the landscape.
In the cafe you will find a unique and kosher dairy menu, a warm and pastoral family atmosphere, and a special shop with a rich delicacy produced by the dairy: hard cheeses, ripe cheeses, low-fat cheeses, Alto’s yogurt, and of course fresh goat’s milk.
In the store you will find special sourdough breads made by Alto’s bakery, as well as a selection of quality Galilean products such as, wine, olive oil, olives, jams, spreads, honey, halva, cakes, cookies, and more.

The cafe has a self-service concept, you order at the counter and sit freely. You can choose dishes from the kitchen such as the “Wake Up in the Galilee” breakfast, cheese butcher, the rich and indulgent Alto Croissant, and other special dishes. You will also find a rich selection of dishes from the display case: a variety of sourdough sandwiches, croissants with cheeses and rich combinations, a selection of quiches, toasts, desserts and special goat yogurt ice cream served with a variety of toppings.
