The autumn winds are here and they carry with them the weeks between “after the holidays” and the next holiday – Chanukah, where we will already be gathered in the dark and long nights of winter.
Did you know? The Arabs of the region do not treat autumn as a season.
They refer to the transition from summer to fall as the period they call “Harfen” which comes from the hebrew phrase “to drive someone crazy”.
This period is known for its great weather changes and it seems like the world is going crazy.
Wind, rain, heatwave and wind again will characterize the coming period.
Here in the Galilee, the relationship with the weather is very close. The open spaces are exposed and any change is noticeable.
