Tour guide Karmit Arbel Rumbak invites you to a special walking trail among the wild and hidden paths of Matat, in the mountainous and lesser-known part of the Western Galilee. We will walk through a dense forest, among beautiful trees, and spectacular views that will unfold before our eyes at every bend of the road.
We will reach hidden and special corners and encounter nature at its best.
We will tour Mitzpe Matat ― an extraordinary place that has transformed a bare rocky mountain into a paradise of beauty, inspiration, and sustainability. We will meet small local businesses that will give us a glimpse into the uniqueness of the place. And among the stories and plants we will understand how it is possible to dream, act, and create a space that connects nature, spirit, and community.

Karmit Arbel Rumbak is a tour guide, also active on the subject of sustainability. In her tours, she connects people and has a true gift in making you laugh and giving theatrical tours for the whole family.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
