The tour guide Karmit Arbel invites you to discover a different Akko. Go for a walk in the lesser-known alleys and visit the special places.
Enter as if in a maze into the depths of the alleys, into the houses, and into the lesser-known corners of Akko.
Through the flavors, art, stories, and heart-opening encounters we will be inspired and discover a fascinating world.
We will visit the Western Galilee Now Visitors Center and from there we will cross the famous market where we will meet some of the people and tastes that make it so authentic. We will visit a unique spice shop that began its journey four generations ago as a pharmacy, meet the people behind the hummus shop that was the subject of an episode of “Aharoni & Gidi’s Wonderful Journey”, and taste a mouthwatering golden ball in pickled lemon. Walk through the decorated alleys that have become a fascinating artistic representation, and visit Beit Elfarasha that creates ripples of change with the help of exciting women’s power. We will taste the unique knafe of the Turkiz Restaurant, whose name has spread far and wide, and at the end of the market we will meet Tina Khativ, the woman who turned her grandmothers’ recipes into a work of art and taste the best malabi in the country.
