Studio Oroca is a jewelry studio in Old Akko owned by goldsmith Orly Coffler. The studio offers handmade jewelry, wall art, workshops, and boutique events.
Orly Coffler, a graduate of the jewelry program at WIZO in Haifa, has begun to develop working methods and designs that have her imprint. She was educated as a mechanical engineer and graduated from the Technion in Haifa and for 25 years worked as an engineer in one of the leading companies in Israel.
Orly says that in the industrialized and fast-paced world we live in, our voice is often lost, we have moved away from our ability to connect to our emotions and the inner self that was once a child: curious and dreamy. Every object that is made by hand, contains life and emotions within it, and therefore in the jewelry and workshops she conducts, she also emphasizes creativity and connection to ourselves, alongside the work.
Orly chose to locate her studio in Old Akko, a city full of charm that inspires people. Just as each of the stones that make up the walls has a different and interesting shape, so does the jewelry Orly creates.
The nearby port, the fishermen, the market, the tiny shops that retain their original character that is centuries old, the special Ottoman structure decorated with arches, and all of these speak the same design language that is also repeated within the studio with the stylish furniture details. When you put it all together, it deeply touches everyone who visits!
