The rooms of the Akotika Hotel are spread out among the alleyways. These rooms, all of which have been lovingly and meticulously restored and preserved, are different from one another, but in all of them you will find the magical combination of ancient and modern. Without compromising the authentic atmosphere of the rooms, we have installed luxury beds, a coffee and wine bar, large-screen tv’s and living room suites. All you need to do is to open the door and you will be within short walking distance of the main attractions and culinary delicacies that Akko has to offer. All the rooms are different, but each one is unique, luxurious and totally integrated into the fascinating human and cultural ambience of Old Akko.
We fell in love with Akko. With the sea and the walls, the picturesque alleyways, the welcoming people, the markets, the fresh, authentic local food, the fishermen on the city walls and the small harbor.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
