Arabesque is a boutique hotel and art and culture center located in the heart of the old city in a renovated old Ottoman building. The hotel provides an experiential daily activity for groups by prior arrangement that includes a personal meeting with Micha Fallenberg, the owner of the Arabesque Hotel and a tour guide that includes a traditional Akko meal (morning, lunch or dinner to choose from), a meeting and the story of the place from its foundation to the present day, shared life in the Old City of Akko, stories of entrepreneurship, and a short tour of the hotel space.
Guided tours of the Old City can be booked by prior arrangement, including a meeting and gathering at the Arabesque Hotel, lectures, and a trip to the colorful market in the Old City.
Professor Evan Fallenberg came to Akko for a visit, fell in love with the city, the people at sea, and the history of the place. Together with his son Micah they turned the large abandoned building they purchased in the old city into the magnificent Arabesque boutique hotel.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
