Tefen Fortress is a northern fortress from the Hasmonean period (2100 years ago). Many ancient remains can be identified, including towers, a water reservoir and many potsherds. From the western tower there is a view to the north of the Tefen industrial area, Nahal Beit HaEmek, Gita, Lapidot, and more…

The climb to the fortress is not easy and takes about 20 minutes.
