Sweet Challah Bread — Brioche Catering
Ingredients:
- 1 kg flour
- 50 grams of fresh yeast
- 150 grams of sugar
- 600 grams of water
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 120 mL oil
Preparation:
1. Take all of the ingredients above and mix them into a soft smooth dough
2. Leave in a warm area until the dough doubles in size.
3. Divide the dough into 12
4. Each part roll and make into a leaf shape (thinner at the edge) or simply a long strand
5. Braid the dough (there are lots of videos on youtube)
6. Let it stand for 15-20 min while the oven is preheating
7. Beat an egg and spread on the challah bread and sprinkle sesame on top (optional)
8. Bake at 180 degrees celsius for 20 minutes or until the challahs are nice and golden
Hagit’s Tip: Add 150 grams of raisons to the dough.
