What exactly is a “home”?
Is it walls and a roof or people, a road, memories or stories that are woven over the years?
Paula invites you to a special morning in Gilon ― a morning that connects the Galilean landscape, the story of the village, creation and sustainability, and between my personal home and the community around it.
We will start with a leisurely walk along the first path in the Gilon village, and hear the story of its establishment.
The dream that brought people to establish a village on the mountain, the challenges along the way, and the journey the place has gone through since then. This is a tour of a relaxed pace, observation, and listening ― to nature and also to the human story within it.
From the path we will continue to Paula’s house and to the studio, for an intimate meeting with light refreshments, and hot or cold drinks. There she will share her work with reused materials, and the deep connection between creativity, sustainability, and community ― and how creation can be not only aesthetic, but also strengthening and connecting.
Finally, Paula will roll up her sleeves and let her hands work.
Together we will create a lovely pot from a recycled can ― a simple, pleasant, and satisfying process, at the end of which you go home with a useful and unique object with a story.
This is a morning of nature and blossoming, easy walking, thought, inspiration, and creation.
Three hours that allow you to stop for a moment, be present, and return home with something tangible in your hand and with something that remains in your heart.
