A special tour led by Rima Khoury, a local educator and cultural figure, who will take us to a one-time encounter in Fassuta. A beautiful and special Christian village in the Galilee. This is a tour that tells a story of love, family and place – through people, flavors, and memories.
We will meet at Sharif’s for cake and coffee, a warm and smiling opening like a first visit to a home. From there we will continue to the bakery, taste fresh and healthy bread with flavor combinations – bread that connects generations and tells family stories.
We will arrive at the Tree Whisperer, sit among the trees with hot tea and local cookies. We will stop at an ancient stone building and hear the story of a family that lived in one room, and from there connections and an unusual love that was born from closeness were born. We will meet an embroidery artist and a leatherworker, ancient crafts, and taste the flavors of tradition.
At the poet’s house, we will read manuscripts and love poems. We will continue to Ragada, the local roasting house, a guesthouse with the smell and taste of fresh coffee. We will arrive at the ancient press and hear a story of a person’s love for a place.
We will end at the Rimad house with a special tasting of sweet and savory, hot knafe, and for each guest – a rose.
This is a journey of taste, home, family and love ― Fassuta as it is ― enters the heart and stays there.
