The artist and spiritual woman Rima Khoury invites you to her home in the beautiful Christian village of Fassuta, nestled high in the mountains of the Western Galilee. Come on a unique journey in a home where family, culture, and flavors come together. On the tour we will experience Fassuta through the senses ― we will taste, smell, feel, and discover the local beauty between the alleys, charming corners, and a colorful flower shop in the heart of the village. We will also visit Beit Rima ― a gallery for art and culture inside an ancient family home.
We will see local creations in the workshops of artists from the village, visit the ancient oil press, enter two churches in the village, meet the men and women who create, and discover more surprises along the way.
Finally – a special musical performance that will brighten the atmosphere and wrap the experience in festive tunes.
Among the tastings that will await us: special pastries, cookies in homely warmth, fragrant tea, fine local olive oil, and other delicious and joyful surprises.
Rima Khoury is considered the “Peter Pan” of Fassuta, a woman full of inspiration, joy of life, and giving without limits. After her grandfather passed away in 1983, their family home was closed and Rima was the first to bring life back to the house, through social and artistic activities with the boys and girls of the village. Being a creator herself and also an art and English teacher, she saw fit to bring her worlds of knowledge and spread them before the girls of the village and allow them to get to know new worlds out of a strong desire to change social and cultural changes, to empower women, to give hope and a horizon. From doing work, having conversations, and giving better.
