A stone’s throw from the picturesque village of Mi’ilya, hides a world that seems to have stopped a queen. Karmit Arbel invites you to a hiking trip near the Sha’al River ― a wild and almost unknown route, where nature reveals its most hidden secrets. We start the trip with a walk in an ancient and tangled forest that looks as if it was taken from a fairy tale, when around us, crazy spring blossoms are raging with intoxicating colors and scents.
We will discover traces of distant history with antiquities from the Crusader period that fit perfectly into the landscape, and we will reach the source of the spring in the bowels of the earth. There we will discover a magical and active stalactite cave, and the small, clear lake hidden in it. In the quiet water we can meet the rare inhabitants of the cave ― newts and salamanders, which add a touch of mystery and wonder to the place.
After we finish the beautiful route (of medium difficulty), we will enjoy warm and special hospitality at the Julia Winery in the Christian village of Mi’ilya, where we will enjoy their family story and taste a fine wine that will warm the heart.
