The Yona Cafe was established with the help of hundreds of supporters from the city, the surrounding area, and the country. The cafe serves meticulous coffee from the Dada Roastery, fresh pastries, sandwiches, cakes, and salads made from local ingredients. The place has a pleasant atmosphere for a long stay and a design that combines inviting warmth with an art space. Every detail is meticulous: from the music and records, the plants in every corner, and the quality matcha that we didn’t know was missing here. The dove (yona in hebrew) symbolizes hope and good days, people deserve to sit outside, drink coffee, and create quality time for everyone.
Or, Maya, Noam & Stav, four artists and the founding members of the Culture and Livelihood movement in Nahariya since 2016. They founded the Yama Center out of a simple but powerful desire – for Nahariya to have a place of connection. A place where you can feel at home, create, meet people, and open the door to dreams.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
