At Lechem Tenne, handmade sourdough breads are baked daily: rustic, polenta, grains, cranberry-nut, spelt, whole meal bread with poppy seeds and more – and all can be sliced on site.
Alongside the breads, fresh pastries await you: croissants, danishes, scones (dried fruit or chocolate-espresso), pistachio and chocolate pastries, cheese bourbon, feta-chard pastry, sticky buns, and more.
There are also sandwiches made from the bakery’s breads: omelet, salmon with crème fraiche and caper pesto, antipasti with feta cream, egg salad or artichoke with Manchego.
Suitable for a quick stop at the kibbutz or to take with you.
Kibbutznik David and South African Vivian fell in love among the cafes of Berkeley, dreamed together of their own bakery, and in 2009 made the dream a reality. The old kibbutz showers of Gesher HaZiv became “Lechem Tenne” ― a place where breads, cakes, and pastries alongside its design create the warm home that everyone wants to return to.
