Akkotel is a boutique hotel built into the walls of the world heritage site of the old city of Akko.
The building is a beautifully renovated historical building that was constructed by the Ottomans
and served as accommodation for the army officers.
Established in 2007, Akkotel is located next to the Land Gate of the Old City of Akko and a short walking distance from the important landmarks of the Old City. Akko is in a driving distance from Nazareth, Sea of Galilee and Haifa; many of our guests use Akkotel as a base for their travelling in Northern Israel.
The Boutique is beautifully renovated and highlights a charming mixture of historical and
modernized elements of international standards. The Boutique has 16 uniquely designed rooms, the interior decoration combines stoned
arches with handmade furniture. The roof area has a panoramic view of the Mediterranean
Sea, Haifa and the Carmel Mountain.
Akkotel has a marvelous renovated hall for family and business events.
Special Events can be organized on the roof for a perfect Mediterranean experience.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
