Walied discovered his interest in ironwork at the age of 40, having never previously worked in manual labor. After completing a short course, he began creating iron sculptures and quickly won first prize in an iron sculpture competition in England.
Since then, he has earned multiple awards in England and Italy, where his works are now displayed in museums.
The Blacksmith Shop
Walied works in a small workshop located under his home, filled with tools, metal pieces, and black coffee constantly brewing on the stove.
Visitor Experience & Workshops
Visitors can stop by the blacksmith shop to hear Walied’s story, explore a variety of his works – including handcrafted furniture – and participate in a collaborative hands-on workshop by prior arrangement.
