Walied Khoury is a native of Fassuta, one of two purely Christian villages in the Western Galilee. At the age of 40, having never done manual labor before, he discovered a passion for ironwork and began his journey as a blacksmith.
Visitors are invited to Walied’s blacksmith shop to hear his story, view a variety of his custom iron creations – including handcrafted furniture – and watch a live ironwork demonstration.
Guided Village & Church Tour
By prior arrangement, Walied leads a short tour of the village featuring:

The Old Church: Recently renovated, where Walied restored the original entrance door and columns.

What we offer

Walied discovered his interest in ironwork at the age of 40, having never previously worked in manual labor. After completing a short course, he began creating iron sculptures and quickly won first prize in an iron sculpture competition in England.
