Even though Family Day was celebrated a few days ago, you are still invited to enjoy a delicious and authentic family meal at Aviva Khoury’s in the picturesque Christian village of Fassuta.

In the warm home of Aviva, a native of Christian village of Fassuta, you can hear her fascinating personal story, and most of all ― enjoy fresh, authentic food full of love that comes from a long family tradition.

“For as long as I can remember, I have stood next to my mother and grandmothers, watched them cook and internalized every recipe, every smell, and every beauty that passed before my eyes. After many years of working in different jobs, I decided to start a new path and cook fresh, delicious, and healthy homemade food with recipes that I developed, and today I am proud that I am able to convey the smell of my cooking to every place and every home.”

Aviva learned the craft of cooking from her mother and completed the rest in various cooking courses. Today, she hosts couples, families, and groups on the spacious balcony of her home for traditional Christian food, in front of a spectacular Galilean view.

What awaits you at the meal?

• Salads ― vegetables, chicory, seasoning, carrots, eggplant, hummus, Turkish salad, pickles
• Pastries ― fatayer sambusk, cheese/meat
• Stuffed Dishes ― stuffed zucchini and grape leaves, stuffed cabbage with rice, chicken, pine nuts, and kebab
• Sides ― coleslaw and freekeh
• Desserts ― date cookies and jam
• Drinks ― coffee, tea, water, and lemonade
