Walied Khoury is a native of the Christian village of Fassuta. After completing a short course in ironwork, he began creating iron sculptures and quickly won first prize in a competition in England.
Since then, he has earned several awards across England and Italy, where his works are displayed in museums.
The Workshop
Walied works in a small blacksmith shop located beneath his home, surrounded by tools, pieces of metal, and black coffee constantly brewing on the stove.
Visitor Experience
Visitors can stop by the blacksmith shop to hear Walied’s story, view his diverse creations – including handcrafted furniture – and watch a live demonstration of his blacksmithing skills.
