When was the last time you visited a place brimming with treasures and stories — all packed into such a small spot right on the border?

Tour guide Karmit Arbel invites you on a new tour of Hanita. We begin with an easy walk to Ein Kovshim — a hidden, pastoral spring steeped in the atmosphere of the Galilee and nostalgic tales of the early pioneers. From there, we ascend to the village for a spectacular viewpoint, where we’ll meet Yuval, a resident. Through a candid, engaging conversation, he will offer a unique window into life on the border, facing the mountains of Lebanon and the northernmost tip of Israel’s coastline. We will then continue on a magical journey through local gems of entrepreneurship and culture.

  • We’ll enjoy an interactive experience at the Salamandra Studio, featuring brain teasers and coordination games that spark curiosity and laughter for all ages.
  • We’ll visit the Tamara Herbs workshop to uncover the secrets of crafting natural remedies from Galilean medicinal plants.
  • We’ll explore the wondrous alchemy of distillation at the Jullius Distillery — Israel’s first artisanal distillery, which produces high-quality spirits from local fruits and botanicals.
  • We will continue to the Gvul Gallery (Border Gallery) — a fascinating contemporary art space situated right on the border, where we will explore artworks and encounters that delve into the interplay between landscape, identity, and borders.
  • We will end this action-packed day at Cafe Hanita, recently opened in an exciting collaboration with Lechem Tenne Bakery. There, we will hear the personal story behind the venue and enjoy a special tasting of baked goods crafted with great love and talent, using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.

Price: 130 NIS per person, including tastings.
