Tupelo – Wheat Free Bakery & Cafe

Located in the heart of the ancient, picturesque village of Tarshiha, Tupelo is a wheat-free bakery and café. It combines a dedicated gluten-free bakery with a relaxed dining space offering a rich variety of wheat-free pastries, artisan breads, and savory dishes.
Tupelo was established by Vered Baer and Murad Bishara – partners in life and business. Vered, originally from Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv, lived in the United States for many years before returning to Israel.
Murad is a native of Tarshiha. The two first met and fell in love while working at the Adelina chef restaurant on Kibbutz Cabri.
Inspired by Vered’s sister, who has celiac disease, their shared dream was to build a warm, welcoming space where people with celiac disease, vegans, or anyone avoiding gluten could freely indulge in an abundance of fresh, delicious baked goods.
Café & Courtyard Experience
Guests are invited to relax in the café’s sweet outdoor courtyard, surrounded by lush green foliage. The menu features a delicious selection of gluten-free pizzas, baguette sandwiches, savory quiches, house-baked cakes, traditional bourekas, and gluten-free beer.
