Tupelo – Wheat Free Bakery & Cafe
Every morning, Vered and Murad lovingly prepare an extraordinary selection of wheat-free and gluten-free treats. Daily offerings include artisan vegan sourdough breads, lemon and yuzu cakes, raspberry lemon squares, blueberry muffins, savory quiches, and divine pistachio or chocolate chip cookies.
Located in the heart of the ancient and picturesque village of Tarshiha, Tupelo is a dedicated wheat-free bakery and café.
The venture was founded by partners in life and business Vered Baer – originally from Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv, who also spent many years in the United States – and Murad Bishara, a Tarshiha native. The couple met and fell in love while working at the Adelina chef restaurant on Kibbutz Cabri.
Inspired by Vered’s sister, who has celiac disease, their dream was to establish a welcoming space where celiac guests, vegans, and gluten-conscious diners alike could freely enjoy fresh, delicious pastries, savory dishes, cakes, sandwiches, and pizzas.
