We invite you to take a look through the Salamna family’s window, giving you an unfiltered glimpse of local Bedouin ceremonies, customs, and culture. The center also offers culinary workshops specializing in local cuisine, family meals, and wild herb picking tours together with traditional handicraft workshops such as basket-weaving. The Galilean Madafa sees itself as a bridge to coexistence, an opportunity for getting to know the other, and a place whose essence is serenity, nature, and humanity.

“Madafa” is the Arabic word for hospitality. The Galilean Madafa is a traditional home hospitality site in the Galilee village of Kaabiyah, a visitors’ center specializing in Bedouin history and culture. Step into the world of Bedouin culture, get to know the local cuisine, take part in the traditional coffee-making ceremony, and enjoy a variety of other unforgettable experiences. The moment you enter the richly decorated home of Wefqi and Inshrakh Salamna you will feel like an honored guest. 72-year old Wefqi Salamna was born in Kaabiyah and has always been drawn to the study of the Land of Israel with its wealth of cultures and diverse human landscape.
