A Winter of Flavors in the Galilee – A Galilean-Druze Culinary Encounter
with Yaarit Stern & Nohad Bisan
Moreshet, Misgav
There is something about a Galilean winter that simply invites you into the kitchen—to set a large table and fill it with good food. On this evening, we come together once again—Yaarit Stern, a pastry chef and culinary workshop facilitator, and Nohad Bisan, a pastry chef and cook specializing in Druze cuisine—for an event that bridges two culinary worlds, traditions, and sets of ingredients, all united by a deep love for hospitality.
Throughout the evening, we will get hands-on: kneading, filling, rolling, frying, baking, and cooking. We will explore the flavors and techniques of Druze and Galilean cuisine firsthand. Between dishes, we’ll share the stories behind them—tales of home-cooked food, traditions, local ingredients, and recipes passed down from hand to hand and generation to generation.
And at the end? Everything we’ve prepared will come together on one large, colorful, and joyful table, where we will all sit down to eat together.
